I don't know if dropping out was her own doing. It couldn't have been because she didn't want backlash for having a black romantic co-star because I went to her imdb page and surprisingly, most of her fans were excited about her pairing up with him. In fact some of them suggested it. Maybe she is on that , but I would think she would be excited take a role like this because after the Twilight series, what is she known for? This could have been the role where she proved everybody wrong when they say she doesn't have any personality. What better way it would have been to start off by starring along side Mr Personality himself. But apparently the "age gap" was too much for her.

Doesn't really matter to Will Smith because this will make bank either way, regardless of whoever they decided to pair him up with. I wish they would pair him up with a young up and coming black actress, even though that's a long shot.

Well she's also KNOWN for cheating and having that affair last year and leaving that Twilgiht lead actor behind. She went into hiding after that..even during the last Twilight release.

I think the people in this thread that are trying to say she was removed from the film, have an agenda of wanting to save her and eliminate race from the discussion.

Obviously the producers thought she was able, by casting her in the first place, and its not as if Will is averse to starring in shtty movies alongside shtty actors. Hes all about the money, not the art.

And how is it making her "save face", by saying something so ridiculous as citing an age, when there is little difference between the ages of Affleck and Smith. The movie only became a prob once will committed. Makes no sense, and sht aint adding up.

There isnt much of an age difference between Ben and Will, but there is a racial one.

it's a movie dumb ass you shouldn't have to be attracted to your co-star to do your job. based on his dating preferences i doubt common was attracted to Robin McLeavy in hell on wheels but he did multiple love scenes with her.
