as a long suffering knicks fan I wanted to 3 things this season:

KP to take the leap and make the all-star team (check +)
Frank the French Prince to show glimpses that he could be the PG of future (check)
and a top 5 lottery pick (???)

problem is that KP is paying so well and east is so medicore the Knicks might fall as backwards into the playoffs
really trying to remain cautiously optimistic cause is the knicks we are talking about. The last few years the Knicks have been competitive right until around Xmas then fall off the face of the earth.

i might still be the lone Knicks fan that still fukks with Melo
but i dont see way we gotta shyt on Melo to give KP his props

KP has always maintained that he loved playing with Melo & Melo made the game easier for him on/off the court
who is to say that if KP was 'the man' from day one he would've been able to handle pressure of NY & Phil's B.S.
with no Melo KP would've been Phil's number target and might be on another team right now

i think this growth in KP's game has just as much to do with being the focal point of the offense now that Melo is gone as well as Phil & the triangle being gone (Hornacek always wanted to run), KP's natural development and putting on muscle this off-season

Wish people would stop bringing up Melo. A whole lot of factors led to Porz being this good this quick. Melo himself had comparatively little affect on it.
:usure:

Porzingis wouldn't have the opportunity to close games if Melo was still on the team, for starters.
