Sony, We'd Like A Straight Answer About This Used Games Stuff

Last March Kotaku reported on information from multiple sources that the PlayStation 4 would implement anti-used game technology. The most reliable of these sources suggested this technology would not block the use of used games altogether, instead letting them be played on a limited basis before requiring some sort of activation fee. Games would be linked to a specific PlayStation Network account, requiring registration before play. It's all rumor, of course, but it's definitely the sort of convoluted system that would allow for these ambiguously confirmative responses.

Tough Break nikkaz :mjpls:

PS4 Will Support Used Games

The biggest concern about the next-gen consoles from Sony and Microsoft is whether they will be always-on with accompanying DRM and whether they will support used games. While we're still waiting on Sony to clarify the always-on DRM part, we at least have confirmation that the PlayStation 4 will still support used games. You could almost hear a unanimous “sigh” from gamers all across the interwebs.

Eurogamer managed to grab a quote from Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida, who confirmed that the PlayStation 4 will support used games, saying...

Yes. That's the general expectation by consumers," .... "They purchase physical form, they want to use it everywhere, right? So that's my expectation."

“So, used games can play on PS4. How is that?"
How is it? I think it's sweet. I can hear the chorus of “hallelujah’s” going off in the distance, which means there's a lot of excitement in the air, or I died and went to gaming heaven. But I'm still at a desk, so I'm thinking there's just a lot of excitement...but I could be wrong.

Anyway, Tom Bramwell wasn't settled with a single answer from Yoshida and decided to poke around like a real investigative journalist, asking some of the frontsman for Sony what was up with the patent to block used games. You know what he was told? The patent was basically a restrictive device to limit media content to a single device, but it was NOT for any Sony game console.

What does that really mean? Well, speculation might presume that we're looking at a patent switch-a-ruse by Sony and the company was using some competitive market psychology to trick their competitors. Perhaps as a way to indicate to Microsoft that they would go through with blocking used games, but actually had no intentions of doing so, only to get Microsoft to pursue the same anti-consumer route and then find that the road leads to a cliff beyond a sharp turn. If Microsoft really does go through with an always-on DRM setup for games and an anti-used game mechanism built into the console, then it's game over for Microsoft.

Your move Microsoft...your move...

:snoop: You should of read my article before you ran in here to post some old shyt.
You see, my shyt exposes how sony is once again lying to you.
Follow me now... you still here?
Sony indirectly says shyt to make you clowns go :stylin: before you realize they bullshytted you.
Stop doing this to yourself. Look at what you bolded. "thats my expectation" is not a YES
Then on two other occasions when asked the same question, its a indirect answer. Never a outright YES
There's a reason for that. Wake d fukk up ol' chap...

New article with conflicting quotes warrants a new thread. Thread title was basically a lie tho so I edited that.

Bruh, why do you guys feel like you have to edit my threads?
You don't do this to other posters. Its weird. If I wanna make a thread titled "PS4 likes it doggystyle" will you change that title too?
See, its your opinion that it MAY. Its my opinion that it IS
Its obvious. You don't agree, you don't have to.
But I have that right, so unless this is Neogaf :yeshrug:

The fact every single post of mines comes down to this is why I'm gone from this bytch :manny:
You gotta think, why would a person even want to mod a website all day every day? You gotta be a bored muthafukka for the most part
Hall Monitoring post made on the internet. :heh:
Making sure somebody makes a thread with a link that is up to par, getting @Kodie when a link is up to par, but an entire thread saying otherwise
Can't be worth it, but some people who I haven't mentioned crave the control because they lack that type of control in there real lives
If they did, they wouldn't be officer picklestiening there e-control on a website they don't own
But thats reading between lines, and that type of thinking is frowned upon here :blessed:

what about last March?

Whats been happening lately is posters have been blatantly making up shyt, and some of the mods eager to shyt on anything I do listen to them like if they not getting played :smh:
So in this thread, one person says March. It gets a ton of c/s
Even Mods were called to "hide" this thread.
Kodie once called upon survey's the crime scene. Says it checks out
But alters the thread title to his liking which wasn't a view I share
I was gonna say "fukk May" but Knack is a fukkboy title and fits in quite nicely if I do say so myself :obama:
