If they truly have decided to give Kofi the Mania spot (which I'm not convinced they have), I think taking him out of the Fastlane match is a good move. Keeps his momentum going into Mania since fans will still be clamoring for that match, and you don't have to risk making people tired of him vs Bryan.

Also, KO wins out because he gets huge return that, even when he loses, will re-establish him as part of Smackdown's main event scene. And obviously, Daniel Bryan is totally fine in the middle of all this.

I'm not going to be convinced they are giving Kofi the Mania match until he walks out there on April 7th

But I do like this most recent development.. it's almost as if they have a plan

He'll get his shot at Wrestlemania but there was a better way to set up the Wrestlemania match for Kofi. Insert Owens in the Fastlane match to make it a Triple Threat and have Owens take the loss so that they can justify Kofi getting a one on one match for the WWE Title at Wrestlemania since he didn't lose.
