We knew Kofi meant the Black thing, the E likely wanted the comments to insinuate that with that being a bigger deal than it should be outside of the context of that angle. So it made sense for Kofi to go on press and kinda spin it a certain way. Don’t wanna alienate any of the (white, family) audience.

I don’t think Kofi was threatened into elaborating on those comments. If anything, it’s highkey a test to see if dude would be good with media if/when they give him that title on Sunday.

Nah that just goes to show how it can never just be about us, it's like when I hear black people say black & brown. We knew what he meant but it was more important to make sure cacs didn't feel offended. He acknowledged the racial element but then made sure to include everyone which dilutes the racial component. We just need to accept the fact that the company didn't like the direction the feud was going and decided to switch it up.

fukk outta here, The storyline works better if it's about race and not just about the underdog. Black wrestlers have been historically held back far more than any other group. Kofi and Becky are not fighting the same fight, but Kofi and Naomi are.

. It's about both, and it can be about both. There have only been a few black world champions in WWE and young black kids watching want a champion who looks like them, but Vince ran Kofi through the ringer to get a title shot while he just handed it to Kevin Owens. But it's also about the underdog because Kofi spent 11 years as a comedy act, and a jobber to the stars, and a career midcarder, so people don't take him seriously as a main eventer.

He went out of his way to say this in the video.
