Im from here, Northwest Pompano (Blanche Ely) has been gentrified, there's still rough areas you don't want to be in depending on the day. There's also beautiful homes in the same area as well. It was a community of educators and those in agriculture. Im not here to debate what hood is more tougher than the next, it doesn't accomplish anything. Im 35+ that stuff isn't much to brag about

People think every neighborhood that isn't 99 percent white is the trenches . They're are plenty of middle class black /Latino neighborhoods in America . Jadakiss has openly admitted he's not from the hood. A lot hoods that are supposedly being gentrified now, used to be safe middle class minority areas before crack and gangs came. Pines hills in Orlando is supposed to be the trenches but people got 1800 Sq fr houses with 2 car garages . The trenches and the hood are two different things.
For example; the whole city of Detroit is damn near the hood but some parts like P Rock & Wyo, Brightmoor, Mack/Bewick, 7 Mile and I-75 are the trenches. And Jada said where he’s from is not the hood now but when he was growing up there it was the hood.
