In no way did I excuse him. He is a grown man.
But the realty is, a lot of artists are often problematic personalities (going back through to the beginning of friggin time) and have benefited from having some proper guidance and to keep them on the right track.
Not every artists needs it but it's BEEN clear that Kodak did.
I mean, shyt, we all love ODB right. We all saw that MTV doc filmed when he got out at the end and it was clear he didn't have a single person, professionally, speaking looking out for him first and foremost. And it ended the way we all knew it would.
