Kobe is taking a stand against USA for supporting a guy like Donald Trump in the running, wish other players would take the same stand.

Melo and Bron played in the 2004 olympics as well. Why didn't they win that gold medal?

:mjpls:

Kobe brought intangibles and sacrificed his personal game to win gold. True basketball heads know that.
:jbhmm: That was their 2nd year in the league...how come it took Kobe until 2008 to join the team? Why didn't he play in 04?

He was gonna play in 2000 but he got married and decided to let VC take his spot and in 2004, he was dealing with the rape case. public knowledge. if Kobe played in 2004, they would have won gold easily.

Sure buddy...They had people like Lamar Odom, Carlos Boozer, Marbury on the team but it's Melo & LeBron's fault the lost :sas1:

Funny they revamped the whole program after that & those 2 stayed on the team

Well, Kobe is undefeated in international play and those guys aren't so to a non basketball head, they would def side with me over you if we brought our arguments to them. Considering how Lebron consistently fails in the Finals and Melo is a disappointing hog pig, it makes sense that they would need a true winner like Kobe to guide them.

Yeah see you had no rebuttal for them revamping the program & appointing Jerry Colangelo the head of US Basketball & having a whole new coaching staff. That had a hell of a lot more to do with them winning than Kobe joining the team

:jbhmm: Funny how we have the internet to fact check...Seems like it was Dwayne Wade that averaged the most points in 2004. So those lies that "if it wasn't for Kobe they wouldn't have won in 04" has also been shot down :sas1:

What you call a "theory" by me is actual fact...you sounding real republican right now breh

Coach K said Kobe set the tone in the 2008 Olympics. How about you doubt me on that so i can pull out that quote? :skip:

Set the tone doesn't mean he was the reason they won :snoop:

You pretty quick to pull up quotes but not stats, why is that? :mjpls:

I'm not saying that Kobe wasn't a factor of why they won, he wasn't THE reason why they won...see the difference? :ld:

Oh so when USA was having trouble against Spain in 2008, who came through?

I'll wait.
