He wants 7 championships though. If they get Dwight that's a lock to happen

He has a chance to go down as the 2nd best player of all time. You can't pass that up.

He really has no shot at being the second best player of all time.

His longevity and overall acomplishments will be awesome, but when comparing his prime to, besides Jordan, LeBron, Shaq, Wilt, and Kareem, it's going to come up short.

He's in the next conversation, with Bird, Magic, Hakeem, Duncan, Robertson, and Robinson, probably at the tail end.

I think that's fair.

The fact that he's going to contend for the all time scoring record means he came into the league at 17 and shot A LOT. I think it's definitely an impressive feat that he's played so long at such a high level, but the fact that he played a few years more than other people to get that record doesn't elevate him as a player to me. It just means he played more.

So Magic, and Hakeem weren't good enough to be in the same conversation with Shaq and LeBron?

No, they're not.

LeBron James and Magic Johnson aren't very seperable offensively. LeBron has a three point edge in PER but Magic was a bit more efficient overall in TS% and eFG%. They played different positions and both were elite offensively.

But LeBron is by far the better defender. He's a unique defensive specimen who guards multiple positions and is a perimeter stopper. That gives him the edge as an overall player.

As far as Shaq and Hakeem, they we're bot hdefensive anchors, with Hakeem being a better shot blocker, but the big difference is offense in this case.

Shaq was just so much more efficient. Dude's dominance is unparalleled by his generation. Shaq laps Hakeem in FG%, TS%, PER, eFG%. Efficiency on offense is a huge part of the game because so much of the game is about points per possession.

What's even more funny is when people respond without making a better case than 'end this fukkin' convo', even though they don't have a better argument than what I used.

Lol@any body thinking his "records" will outdo lebrons. I don't think y'all understand what lebron is on pace to do statistically.
