Did you read the post you are responding to? Kobe was able to help his team win by being the anti-Kobe, the one that passes to open teammates and doesn't insist on putting his own personal stamp on the game, good or bad. It was the Kobe you always say the Lakers can go nowhere with.

If he would have been typical big game Kobe and forced up contested jumpers from all over the perimeter in an attempt to be a hero, they probably would have lost and you would have blamed Pau the whole way.

basic dre been taking the better half of duties in the 4th quarter for the entire series. he averaged 19 throughout the series - but most of that shyt was in the first 3 quarters. funny aint no one mentioned kobe locking down lawson in the other six games, when karl had him playing the same role.

i'm not saying you're wrong but there was no myth about Kobe guarding Lawson in the 4th. when Lawson looked like he couldnt get to the lane he would then dish it to Miller. i'm not saying Kobe shut him down in the 4th but he did a better job than Sessions and Blake.
