100% real talk, anybody that got a problem wit what he said has an agenda to divide people instead of unite.

Man please. None of the white players are wearing those shirts , yet he wants to mute "race" in the conversation. White folks clearly are letting it known this isn't their issue...and please....the Berkley crowd just showing up doesn't Change the fact that it was mostly black protestors out there since August on the front lines.

It's a slap to the face of blacks who are on the receiving end of crap to universalize the issue to suit Kobe's personal "we are the world" agenda.

I look at it this way. He went from saying all that retarded shyt about needed facts to at least recognizing that shyt's real. Some people need time to really see shyt for what it is, especially if they're living a privileged life. It's clearly not enough and is not even close to some of those athletes of the 60s/70s, hell I don't even like the fact that they want to make black life a fukkin slogan but we live in a highly narcissistic society right now(mainly by design but that's another discussion) so this is the best we'll get. Lets just celebrate the ones that can and are willing to say what really needs to be said in an articulate way.

Nah dog. I'm not on this "let's just célèbrate" nonsense y'all on. This is where the love for Kobe comes in where you treat his bullshyt with kiddie gloves. I love black folks way too much to give a damn who is spewing the bs. Pushing these towing the line sentiments as reality says otherwise is even more harmful than confronting the bs on real terms.

Come on man. How the fukk can someone say this isn't race?

I'm not exactly "celebrating" it's just good to see something even it's some superficial of the moment photo op bullshyt. Better that than more static to keep people distracted. We see it differently breh, I don't even expect athletes to say shyt let alone say what really needs to be said. So any little thing they say or do on a positive note imo at least somewhat helps the cause. Honestly, the shyt was fukked well before the Garner decision you could see people tryna take the racial component out of this latest schism. I'm very jaded towards this country in general and I damn sure don't expect Kobe, LeBron, or any other major athlete to speak truth to power unless they have a history of doing so.

I feel you tho, it's terrible that they want to keep ignoring the elephant in the room and dictate to us how we're suppose to feel or what the issues are. That's why Farrakhan's speech at Marion Barry's homegoing was so poignant. The p*ssycat/lion metaphor he used described the shyt you talkin bout perfectly.
