Look up spatial disorientation. Imagine walking in a thick fog near a cliff?
That’s why they advise him to fly low so he can see the ground. But he disregarded that and try to get above the fog.

I forget but could he have found an LZ if he was flying low? That was a hilly area right

I say “damn Kobe” at least once a week.

I know I don’t know dude personally but watching the lakers every night and on the weekend was a big part of my childhood so every now and then I’m a loss for words. I’m sure it’s like that for most of y’all. And when you count his daughter, her friends and people he was building was on there too...crazy 2020 man

My brother is ththe biggest Kobe fan i know. Had his posters, jersey and everything If im feeling a sorta way I couldnt imagine how he felt.

hill area did not cause the crash. It’s the thick fog. They told him to stay low and follow the freeway or something like that.
But he decided to get clearance to fly in the fog which is why he was in a holding pattern.

Once you’re in the fog, you don’t know up or down, left or right. And the helicopter wasn’t equip with TAWS which could have told him he was flying to the ground.
