I wondered the same thing but after hearing Vanessa's complaints i now believe they may not look bad because there is thought they survived the crash initially.

There was interview somebody posted here or somewhere else from a bike magazine with one of the bikers who were out there on the trail at the time; And one of them said they essentially saw some of the carnage before first responders arrived and that they would never forget it and it'd probably hunt them forever.

Nobody need to see no shyt like that, man. Let the 9 and their family rest.

• the lungs are soft and squishy, like a sponge. They are filled with air in the alveolae, and blood in the capilaries in the alveolar walls. Squish a moist sponge and water will pour out of it. Squish a lung and the liquids will get out of the walls and into the alveolae, and you will basically drown from the inside. Also, the trachea and greater bronchi are rather stiff and might rupture leading to air going places it doesn’t need to be (outside the lung, collapsing the lung from outside).
• the heart will be lunged forward and possibly rupture from the arteries and veins leading to severe internal bleeding and exsanguination.
• the brain will severely bang against the front of the interior of the skull and then rebound into the posterior wall, and develop severe edema and death of brain cells in the concussion zones.

there’s aerial footage that was released publicly on the news that show the bodies. You can’t really tell what you’re seeing at first but people online circled them and it makes it clear that’s what it is.
