11 years ago this summer Kobe was on stage with Magic Johnson at Michael Jackson’s Memorial laughing at Magic’s corny joke about not knowing Michael liked fried chicken
That was the thing that kept coming back to me. The fact that not long ago Kobe had to do this for MJ and for Dr Buss. Not sure if he was there for Nip’s funeral. But to now see that he has to be memorialized in this same way in this same place. It’s just crazy to me.
Not sure if he was at Nipsey’s funeral either but I did see a video of him speaking on his death
also on another note, remember how we kept hearing that info that supposedly Kobe and Vanessa agreed to never be together on a helicopter?
In the first minute you can see Vanessa and Kobe actually in it together and I guess he himself is flying her around?

Looks like they flew with the whole family often. I'm just grateful that wasn't the case here. At least kobe's legacy will live on through his other daughters.
I’ll never know if the rumors of Kobe asking AI to join in 2010 were true. But I wish he had been on that squad so bad. It would’ve been so right. AI and Kobe are staples of my generation and my growing up so them on the same squad would’ve been a dream come true even if AI was past his prime by then.
smfh, each day pass and it’s still ridiculous to me that Kobe is dead. This reality ain’t it.
man that would’ve been dope. We all hurt behind this shyt but AI my guy is taking it super hard. AI got me into basketball and he’s been showing nothing but love to the youngsters. We gotta give him his flowers..feel like it’s easy to not keep his name ringing since he faded away a decade ago.

I told the fellow LWO brehs a story about that in the discord last week. I was actually there sitting in the nosebleeds that day. I didn’t know Kobe was gonna be there, so when they said his name I started clapping and yelling YEAH!!!. Everybody looked at me pissed as fukk, my sister was heated
In that vid you can hear a few people clapping and saying KOBE before everyone else joined in I swear on everything I love I’m one of those people

I WENT TO VONS AT AROUND 9:30 THAT MORNING AND MY GIRL WAS COMMENTING BOUT HOW UNUSUAL THE WEATHER WAS THAT DAY AS WE EXITED THE CAR ..... IT WAS ACTUALLY FAIRLY WARM AND CLEAR IN LA THE FEW WEEKS LEADING UP TO THAT DAY .... THAT DAY WAS AN EXTREME OUTLIER. THERES NO WAY THE PILOT DIDN’T CRASH DUE TO THE FOG .. TAKE IT FROM SOME1 WHO LIVES IN THE AREA AND DROVE TO THE CRASH SITE IMMEDIATELY WHEN THE NEWS BROKE.
