Thibodeau was asked Tuesday what he thought about Young getting to the line nine times in the fourth quarter in the Knicks’ Game 1 loss to the Hawks. The veteran head coach said he felt the referees changed up in the final period:


“I just want consistency,” Thibodeau said, via SNY.tv. “It seemed like it was different in the 4th, and you don’t want to see that.”

So first off the Knicks had more free throws in the game than the Hawks did in Game 1 (Knicks were 11 of 15, Hawks were 11 of 12)

For context, the Hawks had a total of ONE free throw in the first half and only four TOTAL going into the 4th

So where’s the fine for these comments? Where’s the NY sized outrage y’all had for Coach Nate just a week ago?

Tell ya boys to stop crying, make your free throws and quit complaining, right guys?

Before this series started and Nate made his comments about the Knicks being a team the NBA favored, he was fined and criticized from NY leaning media and fanboys

Now Thibs complains about the refs and not a WORD from Knicks fans and apologists about him crying to the media about refs

You want consistency? Tell Thibs to coach his team to consistently make their free throws or maybe the media should consistently criticize Thibs for crying about the refs the same way they criticized Nate

And for the record I thought the refs called a solid game. Remember the Knicks had more FT attempts than us. The refs didn’t decide the game or call things in our favor. Tell Thibs to consistently coach better and maybe they’ll have more success
