KLC said they didn't mix songs at No Limit because most of you only got one working speaker in your car anyway

He know that's the south. MARYLAND dude's need to never try and

:mindblown:
You Have No Shame To Type That, Bopper Shyt.

:umad:

We didn't talk extra off the wall until the South takeover. It's gotten way different and more extreme in the last 20 years. And, of course, YT weirdos will post the most extreme examples.:francis:

I think you need to watch the video. It's a Baltimore dude on there speaking. He's saying they couldn't even understand him in Atlanta.

So the south is to blame for y'all accents being extra pronounced now:beli:

Yep. Classic song. Klc wanted that bad boy hit men approach of finely crafted engineering. Kl a musician, p a hustler.

P was like :mjtf: our fan base rolling in a cutlass with 2 speakers. Put that album out now.

This Forbes list ain't gone make itself. :jawalrus:

Mumble marble mouth South rappers from that time, yes. I'm telling you, we didn't talk exactly like that. @BmoreGorilla

I honestly don’t know if it’s any different or not. I remember when I started school out Frostburg in 99 folks from DC made fun of how we talked and always wanted us to say “too”

You're probably a bit young to remember. I was outside outside in the 90s.

Don’t get me wrong. I can clearly remember when we were on NY’s nuts. Girls in my neighborhood used to go crazy when a car with NY license plates drove by
:mjlol:

This was like the late 80s early 90s when those cats were down here heavy moving crack. shyt changed after No Limit got hot tho. I will say this city has always had a thing for Memphis rappers for some reason

As far as our accents go idk. I never knew I had a accent until I went to college and met people not from here. I have family all over the state but they never said anything about it. Once I realized we had a accent I peeped how my older family members always sounded like that

only joints that are so noticeable it bothers me:

Cmurder's vocals on 4ever Tru by Mia X. He's way lower than everybody else and his adlibs clash because he's straight up talking in the background at damn near the same volume

The vocals beings so much louder than the drums on Mac, We Deadly

Meal Ticket...the whole thing..that shyt stands out from their entire catalog..i don't know how they let that out like that, especially since its one of their best songs

Silkk verse on Scream...you can tell he punched in the second half of that verse..his voice and the mix change completely out of nowhere

Fiend, On A Mission...this shyt bangs as it is but it could be cleaned up a little, especially the vocals

other than that :manny: but there is definitely a difference in the mixing and mastering from the major releases to the lower tier artists...they did Gambino Fam, Prime Suspects, Full Blooded etc...super dirty
