He literally missed 4 wide open TD's on some of the easiest passes any QB should be able to make. He's legit the reason they lost the game. The Cowboys defense is beyond awful, I don't see how they won't give up 30+ every game.

Players know. Kirk is NOT better than colt. The last two years Colt has been the best QB on the team. Two years ago he went into dallas and got a critical win only to get benched the next week for RGIII. RGIII is not even ready to step on a NFL field as a QB because he can't stay healthy, can't read NFL defenses, and has the probably the worst accuracy I have ever seen from a QB.

Kirk is a mental midget and has a weak arm.

Jay Gruden was inherited him & RGIII but the gm & jay should draft their guy because he we don't have a franchise QB.

RG3 was better at reading defenses and was very accurate with the deep ball. His only problem has been staying healthy.

Cousins' completion percentage was so high because he had many short passes.

He beat the Cowboys IN Dallas on MNF in his first start in years.

Kirk faced the Cowboys in a primetime game at home and played like trash.

Colt also is more mobile and not as turnover prone.
I figured you were gonna mention that game but that was the only game where Colt performed competently. The next week he was terrible against the Titans. Plus, the key to success against Dallas had more to do with the defense blitzing Romo frequently than it did Colt's performance.

Cousins' numbers prove he can be a starter but he isn't consistent enough.

Well, that wasn't RGIII only problem. He wasn't good at reading up blitzes, he wasn't good at throwing with anticipation, he wasn't good at short intermediate passes either. He had good athleticism and threw a good deep ball. I saw his last game in cleveland and I saw the same mistakes. It's sad that he didn't get to develop more because of injuries. He's done as a starter in this league.

The problem with what you're saying is Colt had absolutely no room for error. Even going back to when he was a starter in Cleveland after he got hurt. My point is Colt is more elusive and his arm is just as good as Kirk. I've watched both of them and Kirk is not better than colt. Neither is the long term solution in DC. Again I'm happy synder didn't cave and give this guy a long term contract. He is too mentally fragile.

Shyt is about get uglier than a master p sneaker. Our front 7 is horrible and the giants RB's will eat, Breeland has 0 confidence and he will be food for cruz and odell. That's 0-3, the browns are much better without RGIII and that won't be a easy win. Then we have the ravens and eagles. Over the next 4 games, we can either be 1-5 or 0-6. Both are very likely.

He's out of here anyway once his contract expires so :coffee:

Colt did what he was supposed to do which was manage the game, make plays when necessary, and not make dumb turnovers. He did this all in the big spotlight.

Cousins has always been a glorified backup. He went up against a weak defense this week and still couldn't make accurate passes and was making dumb turnovers in the redzone. I'm not saying Colt McCoy is a diamond in the rough who is just itching to be a starter but I have more trust in him than Cousins.
