RG3 was better at reading defenses and was very accurate with the deep ball. His only problem has been staying healthy.
Cousins' completion percentage was so high because he had many short passes.
Well, that wasn't RGIII only problem. He wasn't good at reading up blitzes, he wasn't good at throwing with anticipation, he wasn't good at short intermediate passes either. He had good athleticism and threw a good deep ball. I saw his last game in cleveland and I saw the same mistakes. It's sad that he didn't get to develop more because of injuries. He's done as a starter in this league.
I figured you were gonna mention that game but that was the only game where Colt performed competently. The next week he was terrible against the Titans. Plus, the key to success against Dallas had more to do with the defense blitzing Romo frequently than it did Colt's performance.
Cousins' numbers prove he can be a starter but he isn't consistent enough.
The problem with what you're saying is Colt had absolutely no room for error. Even going back to when he was a starter in Cleveland after he got hurt. My point is Colt is more elusive and his arm is just as good as Kirk. I've watched both of them and Kirk is not better than colt. Neither is the long term solution in DC. Again I'm happy synder didn't cave and give this guy a long term contract. He is too mentally fragile.
Shyt is about get uglier than a master p sneaker. Our front 7 is horrible and the giants RB's will eat, Breeland has 0 confidence and he will be food for cruz and odell. That's 0-3, the browns are much better without RGIII and that won't be a easy win. Then we have the ravens and eagles. Over the next 4 games, we can either be 1-5 or 0-6. Both are very likely.
