I'm 32, been a DIE hard redskins fan since I was 7. I played football at every level EXCEPT the NFL BUT I have NEVER, EVER, seen a coach cape so hard for a QB. We've had plenty of QB's in DC and Cousins for whatever reason has the full support of the local media as well, it's like the talking point is "give kirk the entire season, he's better than robert". That first int was horrible but the second one was just as bad. The guy has no arm strength & no accuracy.
Bomani Jones was 100% correct with his take on this team. People love to throw out the term Kirk can be a game mgr, he can't even manage the game when he is throwing int's. Put this on your mind: The redskins have played 6 games this year, Kirk has 4, I repeat 4 multiple interception games!!!! He also threw a stupid one in game one to miami.
Another theory to debunk is the notion you can't say anything bad about kirk because people will say he's better than robert. No he isn't. Remember kirk & colt names didn't come up when bruce allen brought in jay gruden, it was about how can you help robert develop. He gave up on robert as soon as he got here & belittled the kid to anyone who would listen. Dismiss robert & shanny. Kirk has played more games under gruden & he is way worse statistically.
I can't believe synder is sitting back watching this shyt unfold. Give robert or colt a chance. They weren't picking up the the offense fast enough during preseason but both showed flashes & are much better than this d-league quarterback. So many people with agendas in the local DC media desperately wanna be right about cousins but he's failing game after game. Desean Jackson won't make a difference, kirk still sucks.
I never saw a coach publicly bash a QB the way gruden did RGIII last year & took fukkin bomani jones to even make this a talking point. Lets make a checklist, for excuses for Kirk's bad play for 6 weeks gruden HAS:
1. Threw jordan reed under the bus
2. Threw the offensive line(who has been playing ok) under the bus
3. Blamed EVERYTHING on the defense(which has kept them in every game)
4. Blamed Terrance knighton
5. Blamed the WR for slipping
5. Blamed Andre roberts
6. Blamed everyone around kirk
