Kirk should've signed that contract instead trying to bet on himself, jay inherited him & RGIII. Kirk still hasn't beat a team with a winning record. His ceiling is a high back up. It's so true that defensive coordinators get paid too, there is year of tape of this guy has a starter. Put a little pressure on him and he folds, he doesn't know how to improvise at all.
I really think Colt McCoy is a scrappy guy and should get another legitimate shot at being a starting QB, kirk is not better than him. I don't think we will be a good team this year, jay almost lost his job last year and if kirk continues to play like shyt he'll be gone too.

The thing is - Pittsburgh wasnt rushing him at all as they used a 3 man line alot of times. Im guessing its common knowledge by now that he struggles at reading defenses and as you said hes unable to improvise..
He has the physical skill set of a back up but the mental makeup of a third stringer

Dude I been a 'skins fan since 1991, from Mark ryphein to Kirk Cousins. Not once have we had a just a stable SUPERSTAR QB. Its asinine.
Art briles and Baylor did RGIII a terrible disservice making him a spread, one read QB. He is on his way out of the league. So disappointed in his progression since his rookie year. As far as Kirk is concerned. The air apparent is not on the team. They believe Colt is a career backup and that kid from Indiana sucks azz because I'm also a Michigan fan so I watch a lot of big 10 football.
Like I said, Kirk and Jay have NO EXCUSES. The "cancer RGIII" is gone and he can't make excuses like the wind and things of that nature. Things will have to really get bad for changes to come, but I predict kirk will play himself out of DC.
