What people fail to realize is Monta is finally surrounded by some legit talent. He's not going to have to force the issue. I hope he still can get his 15 shots a game. They will be good looks. We got shooters and we got good spacing. When Monta drives (dribble penetration):lawd:

Then one of the most important things not to sleep on, I think it's only gonna be 3 non blacks on the team at most :wow:

When he has a good season Its going to turn into one of those cliche "hes learned to play the right way" things.

And you can already see it coming. The whole (radio) metroplex was killin' Monta when we signed him. "He shoots too much" "doesn't have a good IQ" "Not a good fit"

And just a a few preseason games later they're all over the kid....Real nigggas know Monta can can ball tho...Judging this main based on what happened in Milwaukee :smh::camby:

I think this team is gonna really good.

Since Damp, I've always said all we needed was a serviceable big man and we'll be good. Granted Sam ain't out there catching oops like that but he's nice on the boards and does well holding the paint down.

Our spacing in the first game against house with our starting 5 was :lawd:

Calderon reminds me of Nash, square ass bidness...from his ability to knock down the jumper :whew: to driving to the hole and bringing that ho back out if there's nothing or even dropping that ho off to "big man"

Monta firing them hoes up from 3 is  tho He needs to stick to his midrange game but with everybody else on the floor knocking em down, I guess he feels like they get his rhythm going

Ellington is sold off the bench with Vince.

I'm not sold on out backup PG but that's prolly cause Mekel ain't black :hmm:

The Mavs looking like a 1-2 seed (Tru Story)

My expectations are very tempered this season. Although I think this may be one of our strongest rosters we've had in quite some time (obviously not better than the 2011 team), the Western conference is just so much better than it has been the past decade.

It'll be a struggle to break the top 4, and I see us hanging around the 5-7 spots all year. Either way, Dirk gonna shyt on cats. :smugbiden:

As long as we don't disappoint like the goddamn Rangers, I'll be relatively happy this season. And let's face it, nobody disappoints like the goddamn Rangers.

:snoop:

Rosas is out. I knew something was coming. Cuban was on with Ben/Skin last week and wouldn't answer a question about Rosas.

http://espn.go.com/dallas/nba/story...ricks-general-manager-gersson-rosas-part-ways

The brief tenure of Gersson Rosas in the Dallas Mavericks' front office is over.

Sources close to the situation told ESPN.com that the Mavericks and Rosas parted company Tuesday on the eve of Dallas' season opener against Atlanta, just more than three months after Rosas was hired away from the Rockets' front office.

Sources briefed on the situation told ESPN.com that the abrupt parting was triggered by the fact that Rosas -- hired by the Mavericks to work in support of longtime president of basketball operations Donnie Nelson -- wanted to be "in charge" of basketball operations. Concerns about how Rosas would fit into the Mavericks' front-office structure in a supplementary role to Nelson, sources said, surfaced almost immediately after Rosas' arrival in late July.

The intent when the Mavericks hired Rosas late in free agency was to inject a new voice and fresh ideas in terms of scouting, analytics and recruitment to a front-office team spearheaded by Nelson and longtime Mavericks executive Keith Grant, whose association with the franchise dates to Dallas' inaugural NBA season in 1980-81.

Rosas, 35, worked his way from an intern to executive vice president of basketball operations in Houston and was one of three members of the Rockets' front office to be poached by other teams during the offseason.

A native of Colombia, Rosas was initially targeted by the Mavericks to bolster their pro and college scouting efforts after working extensively with the Rockets' successful D-League franchise.

I like this roster better than the title run team...

I never was a fan of JJ.

Tyson couldn't log minutes due to foul trouble for the life of him.

Dirk is still here.

We got Monte now :wow:

And the most important piece to the puzzle. Rick is still here :lawd:
