This movie seems to have gone under the radar, I never hear people talk about it ,when the subject of films to watch comes up. The directors cut is extremely long so you will need an afternoon. I really rate it, and it should have scored higher.

Agree with the OP, this really is a great film. I think most viewers had a hard time buying Orlando Bloom as a masculine, formidable warrior. But I thought he did a great job.

I didn't know folks felt that way about Orlando Bloom. I liked him in all the movies I seen him in.

Ive talked about this alot on this forum. The directors cut of this movie is excellent. Once Upon A Time in America is the only other movie that the directors cut transformed from trash to amazing for me.

45 minutes of character work (theatrical cut entirely eliminates a storyline that explains one of the main characters reason for doing what they do ffs) that takes the movie from feeling large and empty, aimless, and unfocused into the proper epic it was supposed to be.
