I'm sorry to here that. I have friends and have known some for 20 nearly 30 years, I have helped my friends out. Let them crash at my crib for free gave them rides and not charge them gas money. Guess he felt disrespected that NBA and Rondo were sneak dissing him when he actually kills people in the street. He saw his rap status might be bigger than he expected if he plays his cards right. So he just dismissed them as little nikkaz being goofy but he still gonna beat their asses whenever he catches one of them. Just so happened to be Rondo and his homies had the drop on him went back told him and he just ran out the car before anyone can say shyt. In the 5 seconds he bumped into Rondo and started beating him down his fate was already sealed. His homies never peeped that the white truck parked there was Rondos people and thats how he ended up getting shot close range 4 times even if they were strapped at the time Von was still dead. Von basically ran to his own death.

You can blame the goons to an extent for not protecting the breadwinner, but then again, you have to also consider that the general shouldn't lead his soldiers into a losing battle. Yea, you feeding them is awesome, but people can't spend that money if they aren't living anymore, so if you're expecting your boys to just ride for you every time the guns come out, a lot of people are going to be in for a rude awakening. If you have some real homeboy that would do that for you, then yea, that's amazing, but the reality is most people will NOT give their lives for you especially if you're the one leading the charge into the drama.

If you're the breadwinner, you are also the general. You have to lead your boys AWAY from the drama, not be the one initiating it. This situation is very similar to the 2pac situation, where 2pac should have never been in the mix trying to rush into the beef. YOU have to be the one to say, "hey, let's chill here and invite people here at the crib' or if you HAVE to go out, you got to choose to go to a high end lounge where there's not going to be a bunch of dudes packing guns.
