I’d call that the official first show of the Triple H era and it was very good imo, very little filler, no silly backstage segments, everything was to the point and all the booking decisions made sense. All you can ask for in a wrestling show. No complaints here.

Great match (Bianca/Lynch).. new stable formed.. better commentary.. new promo settings and a wild main event w/ an all-time visual.

SummerSlam was a success.

No DQ tag match - 5/10

WWE title match - 6/10

First two matches were high quality, but nothing reaching classic range of 9 or 10 by any means. matches I would recommend watching? Of course. Matches that will be in any discussion for match of the year? No.

Every other match was unremarkable.

Street Profits vs. Usos should have been another classic tag match, but it ended up being a decent match that will be largely forgotten before the end of next week.

The tractor spot in the WWE title match will be a very memorable high spot, but ultimately it was just overbooked nonsense as it added nothing of consequence to that match and had zero effect on the outcome. It was just a high spot to have a high spot.

Yeah, it wasn’t a show of the year by any means, but it was solid, nothing egregiously bad tonight.
