Any form of innovation is a step in the right direction. Even though the wii was crap... the success of it spawned the Kinect which spawned the kinect 2.0... who knows what's next. The problem is that while Sony polled the Devs. Devs make games... They don't make consoles. They can tell you how to make the games easier but they can't tell you how to make it more innovative. The PS move was a joke.

Remember they were also going to release the camera with it... Without it there will be some multiplat games that have more features on xbox because of the kinect. Maybe they'll be able to do it with ps cam but now it won't be universal... rookie move.

To those saying you could do it in previous games we already know that but they all sucked..kinect 2.0 has a chance to do it right. You know where it actually looks like you.

To those saving how lazy can you get...time is the most valuable thing if we want to save a lil here and there then that's on us.

A lot of older folks refer to us as the microwave generation..we want everything quick. I'm sure there were some saying how lazy can you be using a microwave instead of a stove, and yes I am lazy but I'm not fat.

Yes the xbox can already sign you in now auto, and also if you go in your profile settings you can set things like inverted aim, gas and brake butons or trigers for racing games on the 360. This really only helps if you have multiple people over

Also the kinect was expensive to make it wasn't just an added cost of $100 more likely if the kinect wasn't bundled then the xbox would cost like $299 or most likely they would have giving the xbox better specs, then nobody would buy the kinect because it would have been like $200 and the tech would have went to waste because only a few would have had it devs wouldn't have used it. They did this last gen with the kinect 1.0 it would have been too much to make, so they made a cheaper version with cheaper parts to get it out there.

Also to dude saying they are forcing the kinect on you, no they are you are choosing to buy an xbox knowing the price and what it comes.with. you can always save $100 and get a PS4 they will eventually get some good exclusives, plus 3rd party games are good. I don't see the point of buying the xbox over the PS4 when you hate the kinect. Most of everything that makes the xbox that much greater than the ps4 has to do with kinect. Both will have good games in the future. Save $100 and get better graphics, so you can stop complaining and being forced.

You don't go to dennys, order a burger, and then complain about them forcing fries on you, and adding to the price. You either know what it comes with and decide to order it, or you get something else.

Me personally, I'm far more interested in illumiroom and augmented reality than kinect 2.0. It just seems like a lot more of the same old shyt at this point (and by that I mean an updated form of motion/voice controls). It might be good but it's not a system seller to me. Im doubtful how much devs will actually utilize kinect 2.0, since most devs don't seem to keen on motion controls. And as far as casuals, I feel like they have moved on for the most part. Phones and tablets won't kill console gaming but I think they have removed a pretty large segment of the casual base. That's why I feel personally this gen will go to Sony, because they have the most gamer focused system. I might be wrong but that's how it seems to me

That was troll quote. What is the PS4 supposed to cost than, if the Wii U is $350 & the PS3/Xbox360 is $300? Keep in mind if a new Smartphone, Tablet, Laptop, or even a pre-built gaming PC came out with the exact same specs as the PS4 (or Xbox1) it would cost A LOT MORE than $400.

Not a troll post. It's the truth. Sony has not shown off any of the features that's supposed to make the ps4 better than the competition. It's all hypothetical and wait till next year promises. There is really no compelling reason to buy a ps4 at this point unless you are a big killzone fan

1. Current Gen hardware is outdated as fukk compared to PC. Hell, smartphones & tablets are almost caught up to current-gen systems. Folks are ready to move on to the next-gen, especially with the current gen being the longest ever.

2. PS4 versions of cross-gen games superior to PS3 versions & are more future-proof.

3. The $399 price is very attractive & enticing compared to the price of the Xbox1 ($500), the very inferior Wii U ($350), & outdated current gen systems ($300). If the PS4 was $500 like the Xbox1, I would hold off buying it for at least 1.5-2 years, like i've done with every other system. That $399 price is so enticing that I'll probably buy it during the "Launch window-early 2014" period.

4. PS fans finally wanna experience some these new social/OS features that weren't on the PS3 because of limited system RAM, that that Xbox 360 owners have been gloating about for years.

5. It's universally agreed that Sony EASILY has the best group of established 1st party studios. So despite the fact that is seems that the Xbox1 currently has the best group of exclusive games announced right now (most of them are 3rd & 2nd party games that Microsoft moneyhatted.), folks are betting heavy on "Naughty Dog", "SCE Santa Monica Studio", "Sucker Punch Productions", "Guerrilla Games", "SCE Japan", "Polyphony Digital", "Media Molecule" & the rest of the Sony's 1st & 2nd studios to bring the heat to the PS4 like they did this gen & to take it to another level.

6. Remote play with PS Vita.

7. Folks & media expect PS4 to have the best versions of multi-platform games on consoles.

8. There is no technical hardware reason that the PS4 can't match the entertainment & social features that Microsoft is promoting with the Xbox1. (Except as a cable-box pass-through via HDMI-in. But even that is a redundant/irrelevant feature if the PS4 has live-TV cable-provider apps).

9. Despite Sony putting online-multiplayer behind the PS+ paywall, Sony made it easier to swallow by not putting Apps, social features, Free-2-Play games, & subscription-based MMOs behind the Paywall. So Sony's paywall policies are still better than Microsoft's.

10. Sony allows cross-platform play via online-multiplayer on PSN with other platforms on the PS4 ( & even on the PS3) if a developer wants to do that with their game (i.e. "Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn", "Warframe", Valve's games, & etc.). Microsoft doesn't allow cross-platform play with other platforms on Xbox Live.

11. The Kinect 2 bundled with every Xbox1 advantage argument is a moot point, if it's still $40 cheaper to buy a PS4 & the PS4 Eye Camera.

This!!!!!! It's like past generations haven't thought y'all anything. Casuals really come-on strong later on after a price drop. Causal who already have Xbox 360 with a Kinect or a PS3 & don't really care about gaming, ain't finna go out & buy a next-gen system now. Especially with so may big AAA 3rd-party titles still coming out for the PS3/Xbox360.

People kill me that they complain about the price then talk about getting that Vita add on... Someone link me to the remote play video. Microsoft doesn't allow cross platform because pc games are waaaay too easy to exploit. The free to play games are gonna be kinda big. Xbox missed the boat on that one.
