being what a friend of mine used to refer to as an OOOG, I understand the difficulty of cardiovascular maintenance. however I remember running 12-15 miles a week when I was in the 230 to 245 range. besides actual road miles there are bicycles, steppers, and ellipticals to supplement.
also I would think he could adjust whatever weight training he does by decreasing weight and increasing reps.
I suppose for all I know his diet might be his biggest problem.
I would say diet and the dude just doesn't run, he's gotta take baby steps or something because some sort of conditioning would make him a middle-tier boxer by default, the Heavyweight division is wide open in America, a lot of journeymen but no real transcendent talent.
