Don't Killer Mike put in work in the community?

Can I get a cliff notes version why we supposed to dislike him again?

Am I suppose to ignore him politically aligning himself with white supremacist conservative anti-civil rights candidates, over a pro-civil rights black woman no less because he's done some anecdotal "work in the community?"

Simple minded hoteps man...

From a political optics point, Killer Mike really rubs a lot of black folks the wrong way because he doesn't fit perfectly into what we see from entertainers campaigning/tapdancing on a single path/party line.

A lot of criticism does come from him trying to reach a common ground/engage with people who lie outside of his community.

Because of the one time he supported a Republican politician.

he doesn’t like being held accountable for not supporting a black woman who challenged an actual white nationalist governor

So all the community work he's done just gets packed up and mocked with air quotes all because he once aligned with an undesirable political candidate? When I hear Killer Mike talk, I can tell he has genuine love for his people and community and to me that supercedes everything. Let's save all the ire for people actually doing real damage in the community.

Y'all want him to shill for a particular party?

Why?

How is explicitly endorsing a Republican Party candidate for governor not "shilling"/"tapdancing" for a party?

Yall always use this dumbass language when it's about voting Democrat, but when It's a vote for Republican suddenly its an intelligent thoughtful choice.

When a pro-civil rights candidate is running for a seat they have to meet this golden standard of promising laws and lump sum paychecks "specifically for black Americans" in order to "earn your vote." But when some yee haw conservative shows up with not only no laws "specific" to us but in fact an entire anti-civil rights, anti-diversity agenda its somehow some grand strategy of black empowerment for us to endorse him.

Its like some of yall think Republicans are above criticism and really the answer to our problems.

Just say you want to be a Republic00n

Its pathetic. Democrats have to be perfect but republicans have to barely wink at you
