:yeshrug:Taking risks and freeing up cap space I'm not mad at him...and honestly Chip Kelly went 10-6 with a roster that was 4-12 the previous year and then 10-6 again with Mark Sanchez. Chip's a good coach, now we're just waiting to see if he gets the players he wants and his QB can he be a great coach.

:ehh:Lesean was a beast don't get me wrong, but trading a 26 year old running back for a 24 year old linebacker to go along with Mychal Kendricks and free up more cap space is a good move. Chip system is built for plugging in a decent running back.
yeah chip has 20 wins in a "gimmick system that the league was gonna figure out easily"

his system works. now we sit back like :lupe: and see what he does with all this money.

I like the trade for both teams, but the outraged Eagles fans get a pass for reacting like they are BC it is a shocker :ehh:

who are "they"...if they didnt get Kiko, who was playing ILB? They could draft

EXACTLY..people are forgetting this deal isnt about value for value per say..its also about money...11M for a RB in unheard of ( except for AP)..I do think part of this is to be aggressive in free agency so Chip can trade picks for Mariotta
people in the eagles thread on here been said demarco was gone. its the cap hit, age and injuries

that was pretty much a forgone conclusion.

we got mike and KILO alonso now for the next 5 years at backer. we set. now we see what chip does with all this money...

:lolwtf:

Entire rationale behind Eagles dumping McCoy was not wanting to commit that cap hit to a RB when they need to shore up defense. Entire DB crew is D-2 status.

But yeah, they're going to turn right around and give a RB $7mil+ a year. C'mon breh, you're smarter than most Eagle fans...
well he feel the system is good enough to win without shady. obviously it was good enough to win 10 games without desean and mark sanchez at qb and no defense. we got 50 mil free now. he gonna spend it on something

running backs don't matter but marshawn was the most integral part of the 2x nfc champion seahawks. Alright, that adds up.

cats getting too caught up in the trend of the league and not focusing on the talent, this guy had 2100 yards of total O 2 years ago

Agree, but Shady was THE best RB in the league for that offense. His ability to shake guys, break tackles, and be a massive threat as a pass-catcher was tailor made for that offense. Shady is that homerun hitter that spreads defenses out and allows a dude like Sanchez to find massive windows in the secondary.

Murray is more of a grinder. You line him up and give him 20-25 carries to run downhill. He's a pro offense type of dude.

Shady's cap hit was nasty, but he was the ideal RB for a Chip Kelly offense. Signing Murray for a huge sum would be baffling as fukk right now.

yeah i mean that was more of a troll thing. murray isnt right for the offense. but i think out of any one chip knows who is right for his offense. he gonna go sign everybody on defense and probably draft a RB and mariota now on offense. we'll see

Plus, Shady has been a top 15 player in the league as far as skills and impact on the field go the last 3 years.

Top 3 RB the last 3 years with AD and Charles.

Sure, the position is replaceable. But McCoy is supremely talented. My favorite non-Cowboy player.

So glad he's no longer an Eagle :to:

I have a strong feeling Byron Maxwell will be an Eagle. Foles will be outta here probably on draft night. I am not even sure if Maclin is back...its 50/50 to me
I wouldnt be surprised is Vinny Curry is traded for picks since he doesnt fit the 3-4

agree, it would be an amazing fukk you to a rival but it doesn't make sense scheme-wise. Gordon and Duke Johnson would do well as far as rookies, cant really think of any high end vets. Gore would eat, but at this stage of his career is more power than anything else
