Rap game is fuked up to the point you can't even blow up if you over 22. Your best-by date over. Nowadays these kids start rappin at 15 and blow up at 17 with a VIRAL song and they don't even have a mixtape or body of work yet.
It used to be you had to put in work before people took you seriously. Now you just gotta be an edgy teenager, no albums, nothing.
With few exceptions, I only fukk with rappers who got bodies of work: multiple mixtapes or albums in the bag, and I support them in trying to blow up. I ain't giving my limited time and money to somebody just getting it in while ignoring rappers who put too much work and effort in honing their craft and dedicating themselves to the culture. I was raised on the mixtape era, I ain't switching for insta vine hits and gimmick rappers.
