The Steelers are only asking for a 2nd rounder and a "good" player in return for Bell.

We give them Ajayi and a second....boom.

If only it were that easy, though...:to:

(Yes, I just heard Chris Carter's punk ass say this....but DAMMIT if that ain't the friggin blockbuster of the year :whew:)

I only see Rasul line up on the outside if Darby or Mills have to exit the game, they never give him reps inside where Maddox was lined up on Davis. I can't really kill them for that, you don't wanna set someone up to fail and working inside might not be something he's shown them he can do in practice.

Maddox was lined up as safety on that play
Everyone tells me we cant use Rasul at safety bc he has never played safety....ummm Maddox hasnt played safety either....these "football guys" dont know shyt

Maddox told reporters he’s never played safety in a game prior to Sunday. :dead:.

We can put Avonte Maddox at safety (who has no experience) but not Jalen Mills (who played Safety in college). I know Maddox got a pick but that was a bad throw by Mariota.

Put Rasul on the outside and leave Sidney on the inside.

Rasul gets no burn, which i dont understand.

CB - Ronald Darby
S - Malcolm Jenkins
S - Jalen Mills
Slot CB - Sidney Jones
CB - Rasul Douglas

This whole situation is :martin:

I would deploy

CB - Ronald Darby
S - Malcolm Jenkins
S - Rasul Douglas
Slot CB - Jalen Mills
CB - Sidney Jones

But I just listen to Doug presser, it sounds like there will be a change coming. He was evasive but he mentioned, I will really evaluate every player

Good. The only way these stubborn coaches change is when the media puts on that pressure. That’s one of the few things they are good for.

I am going to accept and say this year we coming up short.

We should play these youngsters and development them and start the quick rebuild of certain pieces.

We need DBs Dline help
We need Oline hell Peters is done and others over achieved.
We need a full time legit back won’t matter because Doug refuses to run this year
We need a new scheme on defense Schwartz gotta go

Doug's not stupid, a team with mediocre receivers and a QB who's throwing hand was partially numb attacked the middle of the field over and over, and stopped themselves with drops/miscommunication more than our defense did.

can't move forward with that, gotta switch it up.

He also noted that they aren’t making any moves at safety just yet, but they are bringing in some guys to look at on Monday afternoon and then they’ll make a decision that’s best for the team.

In the meantime, Avonte Maddox was moved to yet another new position as a first-year player, and while it might put some extra pressure on the rookie, Pederson noted that is what these guys are asked to do. Especially for the Eagles, the guys in the secondary are often asked to cover in different roles.

Doug... lol. Cross train the guy who was already a safety then. How many times do we have to scream that shyt?

Just was perusing through PFF to check out how they feel about certain players on the team. Came across this from last year:

  • Philadelphia Eagles CB Jalen Mills was thrown at 21 times by the New York Giants on Sunday, the most any player has been targeted in a single week in the past ten years and seven more targets than any other corner in Week 3.
  • Mills allowed 15 catches (71.4 percent) for 119 yards and two scores, with one pass breakup.
:dead::huhldup:

Yet somehow us fans are in the wrong when we see him being targeted and abused once again in 2018.

Then I came across this article which has this little blurb:

Jalen Mills was one of most improved CBs in NFL last season

The Eagles will have a different role for Mills in 2018 as they plan to use his versatility in order to move him around in the secondary. Mills is the front-runner to be the team's slot cornerback and the Eagles will try him out at safety.

"I think he’s comfortable enough. He understands," Pederson said on moving Mills around in the secondary. "Plus I think he’s a versatile guy. If you ever need him to play a safety spot, he can go back. He’s that type of athlete.

"He’s not just one position. He’s versatile enough now that we can move him around a little bit. For a guy who was drafted where he was, late (seventh-round pick), he’s been a real, real big bright spot for us his first two years."

This was back in March. Something change? Because we are in need of a safety. :patrice:

cant believe in 3 years they havent tried Mills at S. that's where he played best, when Tre White and Donte Jackson played outside LSU would usually move Mills back and he was solid there. he likes to hit, is a very good tackler, hes just not fast or instinctive to play outside

Maddox isnt just short, hes the smallest guy on the field when hes in. that's weird

dont know if any of u brehs still listen to FM during the day but 97.5 let Harry Mayes go but kept Martinez. replacing him w/ Gargano

Whaaaaaa?

Man, Harry Mayes was my guy. I used to call him and Baldy all the time when they had the mid-morning slot, they actually knew me by name. :russ:

Gargano is OKAY I guess...eh....

But that station fell off HARD. When it first came on, the whole city was crazy for it cause they was learning on the fly. It was awesome.

But then they started feelin themselves too tough, especially after they got the Sixers and Flyers games. Then the battle with WIP. After that, they got super arrogant. Now they're like a shell of their former selves, when I go back home now I barely even listen to them hoes.

They really miss Jon Marks, that was my guy, too but we fell out on a personal level because I got into it with Sean Brace once and of course Marks took his boy's side...they both got let go shortly after that...

Tom Byrne is a friend of mine, too. He and his wife still live in South Jerz, he works for NBA Radio on Sirius XM now.

Missinelli is a world-class fakkit and arguably one of the more miserable figures in Philadelphia sports history not named Lenny Dykstra (along with Howard Eskin who, with apologies to Nick Wright, has THE MOST punchable face in human history).

i like Cuz, but hes turned into a cartoon version of his old self. i liked Rob Ellis & Harry the most, then they brought in Martinez's corny ass and it really took a dive. Tre Thomas is trash on the morning show, but 94.1 isnt a lot better middays w/ boring ass Jon Richie & Decamera

Marks & Brace broke apart quickly, there doesnt seem to be any stability in radio. Josh Innes was killin it for a bit, then his gimmick wore off and breh went to Houston

they also cut Shander down to spot duty, i dont think he has a set time anymore. he was a lil annoying

low key, is there anyone more happy with Mills' play than Ronald Darby? hes in a contract year and has been absolutely terrible himself. i get that one guy tends to become the goat, but he hasnt helped at all

i'll be interested to see how this plays out, but the OL is also an issue on many fronts. when a team has a disruptor (Margus Hunt/Sheard/Casey) and they place him between Wiz and Kelce, hes getting thru. Wiz is strictly a zone guard whose nimble, he aint beating anyone at the point of attack. hes allowed some hard hits

Schwartz said that Mills is staying outside and Maddox and Graham gonna stay as the primary safeties :snoop:

Rasul Douglas must be real trash in practice. For the life of me, i dont see why he gets no burn :why:.
