RB Corey Clement: The Eagles elevated wide receiver DeAndre Carter on Saturday to take Clement's place at punt return. Clement (quadricep) has been battling an injury for two weeks. The Eagles will probably increase Smallwood's role on Sunday.
RB Darren Sproles: With Sproles out of the lineup, the Eagles will need to rely heavily on Smallwood to make up the all-purpose yards void. Sproles' absence isn't as hard to overcome because of Ajayi's return.
DE Josh Sweat: The rookie is buried on the depth chart behind a talented group of edge rushers. It may be a while before we see Sweat's regular season debut.
OT Jordan Mailata: The Australian offensive line project isn't likely to see action for a while. His development is an intriguing storyline, but with Jason Peters, Lane Johnson and Halapoulivaati Vaitai in front of him, there is little need to rush him onto the field.
OL Matt Pryor: The rookie out of TCU is facing a similar playing time challenge to Sweat and Mailata. Both rookies are well behind a talented group of starters and veteran backups.
G Chance Warmack: The former first-round pick can only play guard, so a lack of versatility puts him on the bottom end of the numbers game. His experience could be leaned on down the road if there is an injury to a starting guard or key backup.
QB Nate Sudfeld: The Eagles' third-string quarterback is destined for a weekly inactive status. Wentz and Nick Foles are ahead of him on the depth chart.
