Michael Jackson cried in his limousine and was depressed for two weeks after he lost all of his Grammy noms in 1989 for Bad. This was AFTER becoming the most awarded artist in one night for his previous album Thriller.
Artists are competitive just like everyone else and take their work extremely seriously. For better or worse (mostly worse) The Grammys are seen as the pinnacle of music validation. So JAY-Z, the ULTIMATE flexor, actually FLEXING isn’t out of the ordinary. I’m actually surprised he hasn’t done this before.
