But he overachieved. He wasn't a 1st rd pick. He went to Hofstra and had a decent career.
He was a fan favorite. I think him being a undersized , white WR had alot to do with his popularity.
We see this all the time in sports.
Oh of course I agree with you. But the undersized white WR's who play...generally can actually play. There arent many of them, which is why they in turn become popular. If you remember the 95-96 Jets there wasnt much to actually root for. Chrebet was one of if not the only bright spot on the team.

We had a right to be pissed when we let Woodside walk though. Amazing the Jets couldnt figure out a way to utilize him and kept bum ass McKnight instead.
