i love the approach he's taking right now. he just sold a movie anthology based on the Krampus too that basically spurred from a conversation on a podcast. as an aspiring writer, it's pretty cool to listen to this guy bullshyt for an hour and basically construct a movie. then 2 weeks later he's tweeting out pics of the first draft, then 2 months later it's ready to go into production.

i have never understood the appeal of this guy's work, but more power to him, LOL

From his earlier work I think it had to do with him making conversations interesting instead of the actions in films.

clerks 2 was his last movie I thoroughly enjoyed,

but kevin smith is a beast just off clerks and dogma, people on here trashing him :stopitslime:

Yeah, Kevin Smith shouldn't be treated like Shyamalan just yet.

He should stick to his podcast and running his comic book stores at this point. I'll still peep Clerks 3 whenever that comes out.
