At one point Kevein Smith was being talked about on the same level as Tarantino. He fell off something serious. Clerks, Chasing Amy and Dogma are personal classics that I still watch from time to time. I even liked Jersey Girl.

At this point he just needs to stick to Podcasting and directing TV shows.

if we're being real he was never that great to begin with.

fukk it. i said it. :yeshrug:

fukk you, Jeff Anderson. :pacspit: I'll never understand why he was so reluctant to accept his status as Randal.
What the fukk is he doing with his life right now anyway? He could work at a convenient store in real life at this point and he wants some form of moral victory in not subjecting himself to be typecast as the only fukking character anyone recognizes him as anyway :russ:

I got no faith left in Kevin.

I used to be a Stan but he fell off a cliff after clerks 2.

This. Clerks, Mallrats, Dogma, J&SB, Chasing Amy and Clerks 2 will always be good movies to me but I just look at Kevin Smiths work these days like :dahell::whoa:.

As a huge marijuana advocate, I plead you Kevin, stop smoking/writing screenplays. You make Seth Rogen look like a savant.

Deadass.

I remember seeing Tusk without knowing what it was about. I looked like Doc Rivers during half the movie before turning it off.

Clerks 2 was stupid as shyt...the first is legit a favorite of all time for me..the second was abhorrent
Can't agree at all.

Had classic scenes.

And I personally loved the brotherly love/male camaraderie story.

The jail scene with Randall breaking his wall resonated with me emotionally and showed Kevin smith's surprising hidden strength throughout some of his films most previously evident in chasing Amy, being able to communicate raw emotion.

Chasing Amy is his best film hands down. That film is a fukking classic. And is full of raw emotion. I think it's his best, because that movie reflected his personal life, and all the shyt he went through in his relationship with Joey Lauren Adams.

Agreed. I'll always check for what he puts out, but really havent loved anything he's done since Clerks II. Zack and Miri grew
on me after a few watches but still not on the level of his other films, and Red State, Tusk and Yoga Hosers all sucked.

Red state was alright man. I actually kinda liked Tusk only because I remember listening to the podcast episode where they came up with the idea. Seeing it go from some stoned shyt talking between two friends to actually being made was kinda cool. I don't have anything to say to defend yoga hosers tho...:wow: well actually it did kinda remind me of those shytty full moon movies like puppet master, demonic toys, trancers etc that I remember staying up late to watch on Cinemax as a kid :ld:

Red State was alright, but just not really what I want from a Kevin Smith movie.. same with Tusk.. although i only watched that once.. never had the desire to give it another go.. which is weird from a Kevin Smith movie for me since ive seen all his other flicks 5 times or more. I was and always will be a huge Smith fan, just dont get the same enjoyment out of his endeavors these days

That absolutely seems like something Randall would do too :mjlol:

He's probably going for 4pm dinner then spending his evenings hooking up with the 40 something broads who's parents live on his floor:ohhh:
