But the thing is most well to do and rich men do not have a problem getting a partner that makes less or even much less than them. When have you heard a man say that a women fits all of his requirements but can not be with her because he makes 150k and she only makes 50k? This is really only an issue with women, not all women of course, but mainly with women and if they want to be equals then this is something they will have to accept.

Women are built to look for a provider so even if they technically dont need one financially their instinct will always be to look for someone who can at least keep them at their current lifestyle if they decide to have kids and stop working.
