No. I was there and we didn't dress like that at all. If you did, and were Black/Hispanic, you were IMMEDIATELY labelled "gay". Early 80's was suede Pumas, velour track suits, Cazal glasses, Lee jeans, British Walkers, Kangols, mock-necks, fat gold chains, lumberjack/bomber jackets, etc. That's also when Dapper Dan started-up.
