I think Kevin needs to take a little break...he's looking more frustrated and stressed with these women as the weeks go by. Any therapist would tell you, this type of counselling work is mentally draining.

Hopefully you caught the live show that just ended. One of the callers was a woman with a child by a man she calls a loser, finds a husband/stepfather between her getting her bachelor's and working on her masters. Supported her all the way, becomes a nurse but she left him because he was not motivated enough because he was a janitor, but she finally admitted it was a 60/40 money split. She is making 60k and he is making 45k. She did not give him a kid because he was not "ambitious" enough. Now she is in her 30's alone and with 80k worth of college debt but she always wanted to paint herself as the victim.

That's crazy. a 6 figure household ain't enough. I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't truly respect him because of him not making more money than she did.

I agree with his overall assessment that she basically had a good guy but she let him go because he wasn't making the money she thought he should be making (her words). He makes a good point that people are too caught up in what social media presents as the ideal couple or mate when more often than not it's fake or extremely rare examples. It's not to say that you shouldn't strive to find a good person to be with but don't ignore/throw all that away because of superficial reasons.

Listen to last night stream this morning on my morning bike ride. The caller that left her husband because he didnt have "drive' was some bullshyt. nikka supported her and her daughter while she was in school. She got her Master's Degree and left him. she makes 65,000 and he makes around 45-47,000. 80,000 debt, baby by a bum nikka(her words), and she wouldnt give her husband a child because he didnt make enough. shyt was crazy.

There was another lady...she said she made more than 50k, and the guy made 80k....she left. there was nothing bad that happened, she just felt she could find better. she lived in alabama. In these southern states (Louisiana, MS, Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Georgia) you find someone who makes 80k you better take that shyt and run with it. a lot of black men really dont make 100k....we typically settle between 40-60k due to the industries we end up in on top of the barriers we face from people within said companies.

I've been around these women long enough. Men are going to have to take their place by force to get them to act right, and the ones that don't are going to have to be left to deal with the reality of life.
