A few reasons.

1. Internet forums sort of select for those who strongly self identify with whatever sub culture so I'd imagine they're the only ones who feel it's such a large part of their identity. Older bw self identify in different ways (is, as black, or as christian).

2. Older bp lag in internet usage.

3. Many bm, regardless of marital status, don't make it to that elder stage. Therefore, many bw don't get to glide into old age with their partners. And when you really think about it, why would they join a board to reminisce on a man who passed? It's sad, esp for submissive wives who depend on their husbands so openly.

But there were black women on the forum yes? Were they mainly older?

I've seen a lot of bw with this mindset. I saw a lot of this growing up and it really tarnished my view on a lot of bw in general unfortunately.

I vaguely remember my mom often complaining about another parent at the school i went to. The parent would so show favorable treatment to her mixed child while straight neglecting her darker child. She would have him coming to school in dirty clothes smelling like mildew while the lighter one would be clean and having a fresh pair of jordans on his feet. I never saw the lady but this always upsetted me so much that i wanted to physically harm her.

Self hatred in black women is a real thing but it often gets dismissed. You almost never hear about the colorism and self hatred black women practice. The conversation almost always centers on us (black men).

It's common because a lot of them are studying sociology, psychology and political science in college. A lot of their elective courses are <insert name> Studies courses which lean leftist and progressive. They get a good dose of feminist thought on the campuses.
