I was like the whole time. I'm pretty sure she's going to have another child before 30, maybe with the 33 year old or someone else, and still be unmarried. She's cute but her life is full of chaos.

I remember talking about the school to prison pipeline in a couple other threads and pointing out how black men for the most part get treated like trash in school and can't wait to get out of the school system as fast as possible. Dude's hear "dead or in jail" all day in their formative years and people wonder why black boys end their education ASAP.

For me, once I finished undergrad, I had enough of it. The same message and vibe I felt in the classroom is like "I don't belong here" because of being picked on and belittled by corrupt authority. I still want to see a handful of those teachers under a guillotine, for the disservice of all the black boys they disrespected.

I reached out to the white lady who said KS saved her marriage. We emailing back and forth. Not that my relationship is at risk, it's just nice to talk to somebody on the same level, decades in, etc.

You didnt really disprove anything, and even if its false, looking into the stats on what they major in usually shows the education numbers are useless even if they do all finish

No Black women are not the “most educated” group in the US

They are the most educated in comparison to other women if you measure % of degrees given to their own racial group. That is NOT how the data was consistently presented or how its brought up in conversation, instead the implication what that they were the most educated as a % of degrees given to all woman, that is blatantly false.

Further, the income and debt numbers for Black female grads are relatively mediocre as well. (BM are usually right behind them, so it's a Black community issue not just Black women issue)

I wasnt trying to disprove anything but to me, if the stat is true that they have the most degrees among them and we dismiss their notable accomplishments the same way white dismiss black accomplishments then that's further feeding into that "Kevin hates women" narrative.

The same way white people always wanna dismiss black people inventing rock and roll, the cellular phone, the personal computer, etc,etc because they can always point to the current landscape of these industries and how little representation we have in comparison to other demographics.

I love how Kevin gives some of these delusional women the reality checks they badly need but he has to make sure he has his facts straight and not give his haters ammunition

I'm not sure about the enrollment portion of KS's quote, but Asian-Americans men are the "most educated" group per capita in America, not black women. Such discussion is a rabbit hole of moot points, however, because:

1) all groups of women (Asian-American men may be slightly above Asian-American women) are more "educated" than their respective racial or ethnic group's men
2) black women have always been more "educated" than black men
3) despite a significant amount of (black) women attending school over (black) men, (black) men still outrank (black) women in graduating with degrees that lead to higher incomes and not just the ability to argue

@Hiphoplives4eva @Lumumba I don't see the need for tit-for-tat over what @intruder presented. It's extremely easy for the "education"al attainment discussion to become muddled with purposefully misleading context, so if we purport to know better, it's more helpful to do as @ogc163 did and suss out the reality of ambiguous statements and how they're misused, rather than dismiss the person who questions things in what seems like good faith.

@intruder, it would be more helpful to know more details of how the conversation your friend participated went down. Your experience sounds to me like a situation where your friend really didn't know what he was talking about and was just parroting, to his detriment.
