I don't consider myself a traditionalist, but on a recent podcast economist Tyler Cowen made a solid point stating that well off liberals overrated the ability of their values and habits to effectively transfer over to other communities--whether that be the white working class or the general Black community.
In regards to policies and narratives, liberals have made and continue to make flawed assumptions regarding risks, potential benefits and relative safety nets.
But the counterargument could be made that Black folks relationship problems are primarily based in resource gaps. And that undermining the resource gaps will have more impact than shifts in any cultural gaps. However, even if that's true, resources are tied to political power which Black people as a result of demographics and general lack of leverage can't consistently rely on. Thus, culture has to take on a greater role because of the shortcomings of policy.
And so, I don't think on a large scale you will see Black relationships improve.
