It’s partly our fault as Black men. We’ve promoted this idea that every Black woman is a Queen. Couple that with society positioning them for success relative to Black men. Add thirst, rampant simp behavior in 90s R&B and the rise of e-simping via FB, IG and Youtube in the 2000s and beyond.

What you end up getting is a group of women who feel they are superior to their men, who feel they have endless options at their disposal and who feel they have time to be picky when it comes to finding the ideal King to stand beside them as Queen.

Other groups of women would behave the same way under those circumstances.

Every woman deserves respect until proven otherwise. But, all this Queen talk needs to be reserved for women who’ve proven they are worthy of that label.

Because Black women reserve respect only for those men they deem worthy in the community. Every Black man isn’t a King to them by default!
