$500k is ridiculous.

I’d consider $200k if she were 29 and exiting medical residency into a highly-paid specialty. And that’s still very unlikely for me!

I’ve had the same experience. They just pay the bare min on those massive loans, never cutting into the principal.

I dated a girl once who was never transparent about how much she truly owed. And she didn’t seem to have a plan in place to even address the debt. Needless to say, she didn’t get taken seriously.

My nephew is 20 and I'm glad my older brother is on him heavy about his future. NOT going to a state/private university and racking up that debt...that shyt is a straight bum deal. talking about 25 year payment plan

He pays them off and then she does it again. Her credit score is in the 500s and they want to get a house. The other dude is older but his wife is the same. She has 150k in student debt but doesn't pay. She made him refinance the house 3 times so she could get money out of it. She's in some wine club that's $200 a month. Never marry a woman that can't manage money or debt.
