Facts. One of the first things they say to me, when apprised of my situation, is ":what: You dependent on him. You don't want your own money??"

Er, um. Let's not talk about money, sis. I'm trynna be nice. :skip:

Own money? That lil 28 thousand or 34 something thousand dollar a year state or city job that has them living paycheck to paycheck, stressing, especially if they have kids by the wrong man.

Black women, and I love me some black women, this shyt is not cute. You need a strong masculine man, black man at that with sense and leadership.

And those who do make the 75k or more are too masculine and can't seem to be submissive and fall back. Controlling ass women. No man, with substances wants a controlling ass woman.

Independent is killing these women chances.

You're a help mate for a reason.

Another thing that dude put out there was the reality of things, I can say that I was under the impression that BW were making moves in the workplace, making all types of $$$, being that the media pushed this whole "independent black movement" as a status quo to make it appear that black women were winning, when in fact, many BW don't make over 50K.

The average black woman's earners are 28k or something maybe in the 30k range. I was caught off guard with this notion because the media pushed out the narrative to make it appear that Black women were getting to the so call bag

Many are earning under 50k, only 9% are making over 75k. When KS presented those facts and kept pushing those facts out, things started to make plenty of sense.
The fact that he pushed that 80% of our kids in our community come from single mothers, and that 16% of men create these kids, that fact hit home.
Many of these BW want the same guy.

1 out of 4 black women are on some type of meds
1 out of 4 black women will get married, 3 won't ever see a husband.
75% - 80% of divorces are filed by black women

With all of these things going on, it's no wonder why a woman can't rest in their femineity, having to be masculine all that time. Being masculine, all the time, is because you have to survive and live paycheck to paycheck or just be frustrated at life, no man to call a husband etc. Bio clock is ticking.

Pressure is made for shoulders, not hips

Just these stats alone should humble some of these black women, the whole retiring alone setup, that there should make you want to find a husband and get into your feminine role, lose the attitude, etc

I can say that I learned a lot from this dude in the time that he was here, just on relationships, men and women
.

A lot of people dismiss Black Demographics stats, so I direct them to BLS.gov

For black women for the first quarter of 2022, it shows $811 per week, or $42172 per year. $20.27 an hour.

So I'll say that average range can be 35 to 45k. That is still only $17 to $21 an hour. Which Is not enough to sit up here and act all high and mighty, no matter what your race or gender is. I can count on my hands how many women I know that make 50-75k. FIVE. THATS IT.

Not having a husband definitely makes you stress, and become masculine. I wish those not from New Orleans could see what me and @NO-BadAzz have seen throughout our lives in this city. So many repeats of struggle. And guess what? All of the women I know with husbands? HAPPY and glowing and thriving. Those without, continue the cycle. It's a lot of Grandmas/Moms/Daughters all living in Grandma's house, continuing the cycle.
