Yep its not worth it. Basically the oscars called ellen to do a favor and holla at her friend kevin.

For a minute, we were about to see an OUTDATED Eddie Murphy or Indya Moore (new Pose star great actress no shade as host) hosting The Oscars. The Oscars SOLIDIFIES your legacy. I'd rather have Kevin Hart as The Oscars host than Tiffany Haddish any day of the week

IMO he shouldn't do it because like he said the LGBTs have shifted the discussion away from what was supposed to be a dream of his and an opportunity to make it fun. No matter what, if he does it the talk will STILL be about the LGBTs more than himself/the Oscars, and he'll be under heavy scrutiny. No matter what the atmosphere will be "dark" like he said, while it was supposed to be a nice moment. Also personally I don't want to see Ellen be some kind of "white saviour" for him. I understand it's a huge deal but might be better to cut his losses and move on.
