KD and oladipo....or chef and klay...

KD and curry need balance for their games to flourish imo. Look, I'm not saying I know it won't work, nobody knows, maybe KD will develop a different mind frame in GS with the success rate and all...but if the past is an example...I see major weaknesses with this move. Just opinions tho

:mjlol: nikka please..u trolling or an idiot. Peace I'm done :mjlol:

:what:

WTF are you talking about?

KD was having "good" games even shooting like shyt BECAUSE of his defense.
Look I'm sure you can find where he has had good defensive games. But I know what I see and expect when I see KD on the court. He takes defensive possessions off a lot. Misses back cuts...doesn't close out aggressively...rarely fight through screens...you should see it too, sometimes the shyt is televised.:francis:

Maybe I'm wrong but okc dropped three straight ...I think they were leading a couple of them games late too...

KD couldn't guard lil Steph a lot of the time in that series... he actually struggled with a lot of the ball handlers on the perimeter...IN WHAT WORLD IS KD A DEFENSIVE PRESENCE?.....I'll wait. KD has been in the finals once and the wcf what twice...that's good, but he doesn't get over the hump because he is a shooter, and instead of honing in defensively he'll go shot for shot with a team. He tried it with GS the last three games and got sent home. The problem has always been even since harden okc has great offensive players that don't go all out on D. Spurs go all out on D, GS aside from curry sometime goes all out on D...when CLE decides to they lock in and dominate. OKC led by KD doesn't have that in em', therefore they lose. They played d for Donovan for the first time and almost went to the finals....but then decided to go shot for shot again...that's kd's dna, he can't help it. It's the reason Lebron always Busts his ass, no defensive presence. So now I'm supposed to believe KD and curry in a starting five together in defensively intimidating...nope. An other teams are gonna eat well too.

The fact you think he has the easiest matchup (when OKC has been switching and trapping all series - he isn't just guarding ONE player) speaks volumes.

He's been shadowing Curry and Klay, contesting and altering shots at the rim or on the perimeter, anchoring the paint when he plays at the 5, swarming ball-handlers, switching on ANY player and remaining effective - containing the ball-handler or the roll man, getting back in transition and stopping shots in the first third of the shot clock etc etc. He's been doing it all. He's a large reason why the Warriors' offense has been inconsistent throughout the series.

How Kevin Durant’s Defense Made The Thunder’s Small-Ball Unit So Deadly In Their Game 3 Blowout
How the Thunder’s defense is bringing the Warriors to their knees
The 'D' in 'KD' stands for Defense: Durant's D big in Gm 4
Thunder: Kevin Durant's defense overshadowed by offensive outburst in Thunder-Spurs Game 4
Kevin Durant's Defense Has Helped Take the Thunder to the Next Level
OKC is getting the best out of Kevin Durant on defense, but not on offense

He held opponents to 35% shooting at the rim in the playoffs (to put in perspective DeAndre held opponents to 37% on a similar amount of shots defended ATR)
He held opponents to -7.7% under their usual FG% in the playoffs (to put in perspective Roberson held his opponents to only -2.3% under their usual FG% on a similar amount of attempts)

Kevin Durant's effort carries a downside for OKC

My brother...he had great games in that series...I admit that, I wanted them to win the series. I'm a KD supporter...but the players that I like, I know their deficiencies too. Look at the last games of that series and how durant deferred to ibaka on some key on ball possessions or how he played to lax on d at key moments. I can't take back what I saw. If a series goes 7, even if he loses most likely he performed somewhat during the series...I mean it is the law of averages. But clearly his d wasn't stellar enough to get one more win. I remember sitting in front of my tv yellin at dog to fight over a screen or close out on the perimeter...I was yelling it often. I remember it like it was just yesterday...oh that's cuz it basically was. Y'all didn't see OKC collapse like I did. KD's weaknesses played no roll in that....nah, yea they did. Watch the series again(the latter three games) and watch KD.
