And therein lies the problem, the Cavs would have a massive rebounding advantage to go along with a highly efficient offense, that's one of the reason the Warriors ended up losing to them. You can't keep giving a good offense 2nd chance points, and you can't beat a team that limits your 2nd chance points.

The Cavs are champs, I find it hard to believe they'd lose to a team in their first year together, the 2nd year when Bron is a year older and fatigue starts to set in is when I'd expect the Celtics (with Durant) to step up. Also, Thomas has been a liability against the Cavs, his offense is great bu they would do to him what they did to Curry, involve him in screens that get him guarding Bron :russ:

Fair enough :ld:

With regards to Isaiah and the Cavs, if the Cs were to get Durant, Isaiah wouldn't be the focus like Curry was with the Warriors. If Isaiah isn't the primary option, that wouldn't be as big of a problem for the Celtics.

Boston should have drafted Dunn, especially in light with all the moves they doing now. And this is no shade on Jaylen because I like his game, but Dunn with Durant and Horford on the wings would be ridiculous

Big time missed opportunity.

Moves would be made, I would hope. But the Celtics definitely didn't hurt themselves in that department with the addition of a guy who averages 2 offensive rebounds and 7 rebounds per game. Outside of Whiteside, I'm not sure which other available player Boston could realistically pursue that would transform them into a rebounding juggernaut.

I agree about the Thunder and Cavs but it'll be interesting how the Thunder looks without Ibaka as far as board are concerned.

I can't agree about a Celtics team with Isaiah, Durant, and Horford not being able to beat the Cavs in year one. It would definitely be much closer than people would believe. Cavs may very well make moves, but thus far, they've merely offloaded. Celtics are making moves now and I'm sure Stevens and Ainge would address the rebounding issue.
You wonder how the Thunder would look without one of the worst rebounding big men in the league? They're a great rebounding team because of KD,Russ(especially), Roberson, and Adams(needs to grab more imo). Oladipo is one of the best rebounding guards in the nba as well.

You shouldn't drive past the speeding limit in a school zone. There's a higher chance of accidents happening

Ibaka gets you 8-10rpg, though. I don't think Oladipo can replicate that.

When we sat down at the Thunder practice facility for a long interview in December 2012, Durant revealed how he had fashioned his game after Larry Legend. In the months that followed, his insight actually prompted a first-ever meeting between the two.

"Larry Bird is a guy I like watching," Durant said back then of the man who is now running the Indiana Pacers’ front office. "I watch film on him all the time. I like his approach to the game when he was playing. When I first started playing the game, my godfather Taras Brown — who taught me how to play — he always was a Larry Bird guy, always used to look up his stats. So of course as I got older and started to watch NBATV, legends games, and of course you hear the stories about the rivalries with him and the Lakers and him and Magic, so I like his competitiveness, how low-maintenance he was, how he just went out there and did his job. He played hard. He played for the love of the game, and that's what I've got." :ohhh:

Will the Celtics' big splash be enough to lure Kevin Durant to Boston?

Do it, Danny! :demonic:

Serge averaged 6.8 this season and then 6.3 in the playoffs.. He was even benched in the Spurs series for his crappy rebounding.

KD, Russ, Oladipo, Kanter, Roberson are all above average to elite at rebounding. Rebounding isn't only from the PF/C position, they were the best rebounding team in the L because EVERYONE on the team grabs boards at an above average to elite level.

I understand all of that. And you're an OKC fan so you've most likely seen more games than I have and have watched Ibaka closely. I just think losing Ibaka *may* hurt, even with Oladipo, on whom I'm high. But perhaps the rebounding aspect his loss doesn't hurt as badly. Defensively, his absence will hurt.

EDIT: Sorry about the incorrect rebounding stats; I had Horford's tab up as well and got his confused with Ibaka's. :ButIAintTrippin:
