So basically YOU want Kevin durant to go somewhere where you'll personally feel better about?

Kevin Durant took his career in his own hands and we have grown men on here legit upset in in their feelings :mjlol:
He should've signed with the Spurs, a team that was on pace to win 70 at one point and that many felt had the best chance to beat the Warriors.

He should've went to the Clips to play with two other stars in CP0 and Blake, a team that would've probably been considered the favorites in the West

Or he should've stayed in OKC so we can spend all season talking about how he needs to get away from Westbrook and then we could :ufdup:him when Russ signed with another team next summer

Essentially, people would've questioned him regardless.

Melo stayed in NY for money and people questioned his willingness to win

1. Kevin Durant is already an all time great player
Stopped right here

He's an all-time great player like Bernard King is an all-time great. Talented, fantastic scorer, but not in the same stratosphere as the elite names that actually get mentioned in all-time discussions.

He had a chance to join that group but not anymore.

Worst thing about hate in sports is that it obscures just how great the player in question is.

KD is a monster. One of the best this game will EVER see. His decision does not change that, but instead of talking about his talent and how it can be elevated all anyone can say is that he's a weak minded beta bytch. Damn shame. LeBron didn't deserve that and neither does KD but people are making the same mistakes they did five years ago.
The constant comparison to Lebron's move is just going to increase the hate because it insults people's intelligence. When you make this invalid comparison people are forced to remind you why it's not the same which just makes Durant look worse.

It's a weak beta bytch move in my opinion. Yea KD is a monster who's going to go down as as an all time great player, but it's still a beta bytch move. On numerous occasions I've heard Durant say that in his mind he's the best player in the NBA. If he thought that and was determined to prove it to everyone else, then this was wrong move. He's seemingly conceded that he's not the best player and no longer cares about gong out to try and prove that he is. Again, he just joined a team that has a back to back MVP and just went to back to back finals after winning a record 73 games in the regular season. How does he prove that he's the best player in the league on that team? If he just wants to win rings regardless of anything else, then he made the right move. Regardless of how much he wins with GS, nobody will forget that he jumped ship from his own team to join up with the squad who beat him.

It's NOT the same, but it's MORE similar than any of you who are pressed to hate on KD are going to admit.

The reality is that both situations were moves that put LBJ and KD in "guaranteed" winning situations. To say this isn't true would be extremely disingenuous. Nobody was stopping that heat team once it got rolling. Wade's age and health was the only question mark, and they still won 2( and should have won 3).

Be careful how you throw the word "hater" around. While I think that KD made a beta bytch move, I'm not going to hate on him. Hating on him would be refusing to give him his deserved props while praying on his downfall. I'll never do that.

This move by Durant is not even similar to Lebron's move to the Heat. The only parallels is that they were both free agents who changed teams. Outside of that, the moves are completely different. Lebron wasn't on a team as talented as OKC, and he didn't leave the season after being up 3-1 in the conference finals only to leave and join the squad who just beat him. Lebron left to play with more talented players because that is what he needed to compete for a championship. KD wasn't in that position. OKC didn't fall short due to a lack of talent on their roster. OKC fell short because Durant and Westbrook couldn't close the deal on a 3-1 lead. You've got to keep it real.

Lebron had a team in miami that won multiple rings and he left

Kevin durant joining a 73 win team is corny
Lebron/wade/bosh taking paycuts so they could stack their team as much as possible was corny and set a terrible precedent

These dudes are gonna do what they wanna do

Im just laughing at you dudes who said "lebron made a power move" and "lebron is controlling his destiny" when he did that weak sh*t, but now that durant did some weak sh*t its the end of the world
He left to go back to Cleveland because he had unfinished business nikka. Nothing like KD..FOH nikka
