Why do y'all talk like this? The 2016 finals went 7 games and ended on 2 miracle plays, a superhuman block and a crazy 3. The Warriors won 73 games. You could run that series back 100 times and it'd probably be a 50/50 split. This weird revisionist history where Golden State was somehow overmatched and needed KD to "even the playing field" is weird, and I can 100% guarantee that no one would be talking this stupid if their opponent was anyone but LeBron.

The Cavs lacked the offensive firepower to go head to head with the warriors and make Steph work on defense without Kyrie.

Steph is only 3-0 in conference finals if you remove KD and 1-1 if you remove final appearances with KD.

He did beat KD head to head and then proceed to blow a lead to a healthier cavs team calling into question their first championship.

KD is better than Steph, I don’t know how anyone can watch the game and not see that

KD doesn't need to run around off screens all day to get good looks, cause he KD he 7foot. Steph wouldn't be doing all that running around if he didn't have to, but he just cant create on-ball consistently like kd can. And no we aren't giving a player credit for attracting a double team, that's participation trophy type shyt.

No doubles are just par for the course when you are the main threat, while leading your team on a Championship run.

KD is my favorite player to watch but it's impossible to compare him and Steph especially on those Warriors teams. They had completely different roles, Curry was more of a facilitator. KD can shoot over double teams but his handles are average(very good for a player his height) Curry would be WAY more impacted by a double team than KD especially if you have other shooters. The Nets teams this year showed what happens when you double team him aggressively with no other offensive threat, you basically shut the whole flow of the offense down. That didn't happen in Golden State, because you can't possibly double KD and Curry, so you double the person that it would have the most effect on, plus they probably thought Lebron could handle KD or he asked to but just wasn't able. that's the game within the game, that doesn't take away from the greatness of Curry or KD just shows that they couldn't double both players.
