"It was so hard to score 30 back then" referring to his first few years in the league. Says the game required more tough shots in order to score due to lack of offensive schemes and steady rim protection. Says today's offenses are more exotic and players can easily be schemed into getting 30.

Inches
Finally

U can just look at the games and tell. There is nowhere near the effort on d and rarely is a bulky 7fter clogging the paint.

Its a yt vid showing when it changed and how Jerry Colangelo helped change things and those Nash suns were the first team to adapt

Good video. I remember the stretch 4 era with Anderson from ORL/HOU. the spot up SG like Allan Crabbe. The back-to-the-basket bigs like Greg Monroe, Al Jefferson, and Z-Bo. They also got rid of the interior defensive big like Perk. The game changed. I really blame Draymond and Al Horford for it. They changed the game and hasn't been the same since. Brook Lopez went from being a post-up specialist to a floor-spacing 5.

No shyt.

The rise in pace, 3 point heavy offense, and freedom of movement has helped older players like LeBron and Durant stay leading scorers into their mid 30’s.

Are today’s version of either of them averaging 30ppg in 2008 or 1998? I seriously doubt it.

But, that’s part of basketball evolution. They’ve done a great job adapting to today’s game to take advantage. Bron becoming a knock down 3 point shooter would’ve been a laughable thought early on.

it's undeniable at this point.

i still love the NBA, i don't long for the days of the 65-71 Celtics vs Nets or Pacers vs Pistons games... but come on...

dudes going for 50 like they used to go for 40

KD is one of the smartest hoopers out there too and one of the greatest scorers of all time. if he say it's true, it's true. idc what a coli poster or some 538 writer has to say.

Obvious to everyone except a certain stan club. You had multiple muthafukkas putting up 40 and 50 point nights like nothing. That was unheard of back in the day. Only legit superstars did that before.
This argument would work if Bron didn’t outscore everyone in the league

bron averaged 30 in 07, 28 in 08 & 29 in 09. If non shooting Bron did that, this version of Bron with an expanded game definitely would
