Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
They were a meandering sub .500 team going absolutely nowhere nikka get the fukk outta here with this bullshyt fan fiction :mjlol: acting like these nikkas broke up the Jordan bulls dynasty to get KD and Kyrie :dead: fukk you even talking about

They wasn’t going nowhere before KD and Kyrie got there. And because of their pride, they’ll go nowhere after. This was their best chance and they blew it....
THE NETS were a playoff team. They had a good young core, picks, great coach. And we’re just starting to make the playoffs. Two years back to back.

They get KD and Kyrie and pay them the max. They also pay deandre Jordan 40 million because that’s who they want. They also get rid of the coach for someone who ain’t coaching shyt. They follow this up by trading more pieces and picks for harden cause that who they wanted. That fails. Then they trade for Simmons who still hasn’t played.

For all of THAT. They get…… to the playoffs two years in a row. 2nd place and 7th place. And now they have to trade them both. No superstar is going to fukk with them like that after this. Not too many teams even have two superstars to give up, let alone would give up both, so it’s unlikely they get instantly good again.

So by next year, they’ll be back to barely making the playoffs IF they can even get that. Trying to find a good coach. Trying to find a good core. To build around Ben fukking Simmons

This was a complete and total waste of time for THE NETS. That’s not some outlandish take. They didn’t “win” by getting them. This was a disaster that never even reach the finals.

And I’m a sixers fan. But the argument at the time was that the Knicks should have gotten them. The same Covid shyt would have happened and they’d be in the same spot.

Hell I’d put money on the Knicks being better then the nets next season and they clearly have a better coach and it didn’t cost 400 million to do it

Nets are never going to feel like they're getting somewhat equal value back. Feel like this trade isn't going to happen for a while :jbhmm:

Going to be a long summer
